23 Weeks

This week baby is the size of a pomegranate (about 29cm).  Hearing's well established now so she's getting used to all sorts of sounds.  She can make out a distorted version of my voice, the beating of my heart, and my stomach rumblings.  Loud noises that she has often heard in the uterus - my dog's bark, the vacuum cleaner - probably won't bother her when she's born.  She now weighs a little more then 500g.

I started yoga this week.  I had an hour and a half to kill after work before it started, so I went to the shops, farted around in my car, then slowly dawdled up to arrive early.  I peek in and there are 4 people, none pregnant and 1 being a guy, sitting in a circle.  I ask if this is the pregnancy yoga class and the teacher informs my that the lady who teaches yoga there also has a pregnancy yoga class just a few streets away, then she gave me vague instructions.  Shit, I'd some how got the addresses mixed up (I wish I could say this is the first time I've made a mistake like this this month) so I rushed to find this place and ended up late, there was dim lighting, everyone was in a circle doing a breathing exercise in silence, I struggled to find a place and calm myself after rushing around so much..eeeek.  Anywho, it was a really good class and I felt really relaxed afterwards even after an hour and a half.
I had leg cramps the night after, which repeatedly woke me up.  I've never had leg cramps before, man do the suck.  I have had them every night since (although not as bad) hopefully this isn't going to be a regular occurrence, hmmmm, perhaps a nightly leg message is in order. "oh Mikey".

Hehe nawww... at least you found your class in the end. Boo to the leg cramps. Try some magnesium salts. They taste like nothing..well a bit chalky. I guess since you are pregnant i guess this would be the best option? If your cramps get worse talk to Dena. She gets the mag salts from her kinesiologist down the coast i think but you can find em in any health shop around. I know how it sounds. But honestly as hippy as it sounds it works! Candice and I both (at the same time oddly) had coinciding leg cramps a year or so ago and Dena recommended them. Within minutes of chewing this chalk tasting crap...relief!

Thanks Shauna.....luckily the leg cramps seem to have gone away, although I'm not sure for how long. Will def get some magnesium salts if they come back. That's so weird how you got them at the same time.
